Lesson of the Day.

A quick peak of yesterday's lesson...
Uncle Chong Ming was the teacher of the day.
Yep, coz most of us were in Wangsa, there were only a few of us left.
But the class must go on...
We had a lesson about Daniel. (Chapter 1)
It's amazing how Daniel as a Jew lived with the Babylonians for so long,
though he was a captive since he was young, he did not and had never forgot about God.
He was there for 60 years [it's said that he remained there until the 1st year of King Cyrus]
Though King Nebuchadnezzar had offered them the food and wine that he serves on his table.(which is definitely be of the best)
Daniel and his 3 friends: Hananiah, Mishael (pronounced as Michelle.. ^^), Azariah restrained themselves from the food that they can't take...as a Jew..
Daniel was really strong in faith asked the guards to give them only vegetables +water for 10 days.
Imagine yourself having to survive with only vege and water, can you do it???
Anywayz, they did so and turned out to be more nourished than those who consumed the royal food.
They were very smart and understood who was taught. Daniel can even interpret dreams.
When presented to the king, they were found to be 10 times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his Kingdom...
Sweet right??? It's the blessings of God.

Lesson of the day:
Be tactful when you wanna ask for a favour from someone you don't quite know or someone who which you have no rights of asking from. Just like what happened to Daniel and the guard, all it takes is some patience and manners. Be polite with what will be said and you'll get what you want in return.

Agree???

Lock-in '09

Tim, this is specially for you.... ^^
And same to those who has no idea what's going on...

For your info, we'll be having our Lock-in end of this year.
This is just a brief summary of what we had discussed so far:

~ It might be held on the 18th -20th Dec
~We might be having a church camp instead of a lock-in and we will be having more participants compared to last year.
~ If our church building cannot fit so many people, we can build tents. (Lolz)
~ Might be having a guess speaker, thinking of getting an older youth.
~ Will be inviting youths from other congregations to join us
~ Our theme is not yet to be confirmed
~ Calvin will be coming back on 19th Nov to discuss furthermore

We need as much help we can get, please do volunteer yourselves in the aiding the event to be a success! All suggestions are welcome! (If you've got any, please do post it on our cbox. Thx)

Will follow up on this as soon as possible (Hopefully)
Any questions, please refer to Calvin.

To all who will be having their exams sooner or later...
All the best and good luck!!!

Hai!

Sorry for not updating any sooner... Life's kinda hectic.
Here's a little something to share.... Enjoy~

Jim Kneels to Pray
A minister passing through his church
in the middle of the day,
Decided to pause by the altar
and see who had come to pray.

Just then the back door opened,
a man came down the aisle,
The minister frowned as he saw
the man hadn't shaved in a while.

His shirt was kinda shabby
and his coat was worn and frayed,
the man knelt, he bowed his head,
Then rose and walked away.

In the days that followed,
each
noon time came this chap,
each time he knelt just for a moment,
A lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister's suspicions grew,
with robbery a main fear,
He decided to stop the man and ask him, 'What are you doing here?'

The old man said, he worked down the road..
Lunch was half an hour..
Lunchtime was his prayer time,
For finding strength and power.

'I stay only moments, see,
because the factory is so far away;
as I kneel here talking to the Lord,
This is kinda what I say:

'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY.'

The minister feeling foolish,
told Jim, that was fine..
He told the man he was welcome
To come and pray just anytime

Time to go, Jim smiled, said 'Thanks.'
He hurried to the door.
The minister knelt at the altar,
he'd never done it before.

His cold heart melted, warmed with love, and met with Jesus there.
As the tears flowed, in his heart,
he repeated old Jim's prayer:

'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY..

SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY.'

Past noon one day, the minister noticed that old Jim hadn't come.
As more days passed without Jim,
he began to worry some..

At the factory, he asked about him,
learning he was ill.

The hospital staff was worried,
But he'd given them a thrill..

The week that Jim was with them,
Brought changes in the ward.
His smiles, a joy contagious.
Changed people, were his reward.

The head nurse couldn't understand
why Jim was so glad, when no flowers, calls or cards came,
Not a visitor he had.

The minister stayed by his bed,
He voiced the nurse's concern:
No friends came to show they cared.
He had nowhere to turn.

Looking surprised, old Jim spoke
up and with a winsome smile;
'the nurse is wrong, she couldn't know, that He's in here all the while

everyday at noon He's here,
a dear friend of mine, you see,
He sits right down, takes my hand,
Leans over and says to me:

'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM, HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN.
ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY, I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY, AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS CHECKING IN TODAY.'

If this blesses you, pass it on. Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart

May God hold you in the palm of His hand and Angels watch over you.

Share it with your friends & loved ones. If you aren't ashamed. Jesus said,

' If you are ashamed of me,' I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'

If you are not ashamed, pass this on.

But only if you mean it.

Received this mail, it's really cute, don't ya think so?

Teenager's View of Heaven

Hey guys, here‘s a heart-warming message to share. Enjoy!

A TEENAGER'S VIEW OF HEAVEN

17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a class. The subject was what Heaven was like. 'I wowed 'em,' he later told his father, Bruce. 'It's a killer. It's the bomb. It's the best thing I ever wrote..' It also was the last.

Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after Memorial Day. He was driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen-Pierce Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole. He emerged from the wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted.

The Moores framed a copy of Brian's essay and hung it among the family portraits in the living room. 'I think God used him to make a point. I think we were meant to find it and make something out of it,' Mrs. Moore said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their son's vision of life after death. 'I'm happy for Brian. I know he's in heaven. I know I'll see him.'

Brian's Essay: The Room...

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings. As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read 'Girls I have liked.' I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.

This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

A file named 'Friends' was next to one marked 'Friends I have betrayed.' The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird 'Books I Have Read,' 'Lies I Have Told,' 'Comfort I have Given,' 'Jokes I Have Laughed at .' Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: 'Things I've yelled at my brothers.' Others I couldn't laugh at: 'Things I Have Done in My Anger', 'Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents.' I never ceased to be surprised by the contents.

Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.

When I pulled out the file marked 'TV Shows I have watched', I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time I knew that file represented.

When I came to a file marked 'Lustful Thoughts,' I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content.

I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!' In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.

Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.

And then I saw it.. The title bore 'People I Have Shared the Gospel With.' The handle was brighter than those around it,seemed newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.

And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.

No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own.

He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.

Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. 'No!' I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find to say was 'No, no,' as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side.

He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, 'It is finished.' I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.

'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.'-Phil. 4:13 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.' If you feel the same way forward it so the love of Jesus will touch their lives also My 'People I shared the gospel with' file just got bigger, how about yours?

Really sorry for not updating any soon. Had finally got a chance to write something here after such a long period of time.

Ok, er... Right, we had finished our last class with Uncle Kenneth this year. Last Sunday was the last time Uncle Kenneth would be teaching us this year. Finished the book of 1 Corinthians for now. Next, Uncle Vikram will be taking over the class (if not mistaken).

Uncle Ken will be going back to the States on the 14th this Month. As all of you know, he and Auntie Estelle had been with us for almost 5 years now. He extended his visa for another 10 years which is a really great news. May we keep them in prayers as they will be travelling soon.

Our 'Charlie's Angels' had finished their UPSR last month. Now, it's the turn of our 'Three Musketeers"! Keep them in your prayers as the will be sitting for their PMR examination soon. Have wisdom and chew on your books for these 2 weeks! (It may help...^^) All the best!

Oh ya, should say this 3 days ago.. Hehe, sorry ya.

Birthday Boy: Uncle Ken

Its another blessed Sunday! Time really passes fast as today's another of Uncle Ken's blessed birthday. We had a small so-called birthday party in church today. And our lovely Uncle Ken was so happy and wore his well-know grin the whole day. We sang the 'Happy Birthday' song twice today but he's still only one year older since last year.. lol... He was asked about how did he felt about today and here's what he said:" Well, I'm a year older, but not any wiser...(laughs)" hahas...

Uncle Ken!! (right)
The picture above is definitely not today's
It's just an idea of how Uncle Ken looks like...

Uncle Kok Bin and Auntie Ester is away today. But our normal routine still went on. Mithi did the 1st sermon of the day proclaiming about the crucifixion of Jesus, our Saviour. He prepared some slides which is about the places and some tools at the time when Jesus was crucified. It felt really painful just by hearing how he describe Jesus being tortured and hung on the cross where He's all alone and there is no one who pitied him when he pleaded for water. Jesus already knows that he will suffer major pain and such terrible death but still he went for it willingly. He died for us, to wash away the sins of mankind before, now and after... No one on earth will do such a thing except our Almighty Saviour, the Son of God. So now, do think about what Jesus had done and try imagining our lives now if he didn't. He did so many miraculous things, and sacrificed himself just for us, so its not too much to ask from us to pray and praise him in return right? Just like what Uncle Kenneth likes to say, we as humans tend to forget God when we are having good times, and will only turn to God whenever something happens. ^^ We should spend more time for God and praise and worship him and Jesus Christ besides striving to become more like Him.

Oops, sorry. Got too carried away by the subject. Erm. Teng wasn't with us today as he will be having his PMR not long from now (Gotta do some last minute touch up ^^). Anyway, we had our bible class today, conducted by Uncle Kenneth. This month, we are doing 1 Corinthians. Today's lesson is about the church. There are so many different types of denominations in the World and each with different styles and ways in spreading the good news. Uncle Kenneth had made it clear that all the denominations should be as one and preach about God's words to the non-belivers and not only limited to those who already believed.

Forgot to mention last week that dear Anutie Li Hong and Ying Ying had joined the short hair comunity!!! Haha... Though its sort of a pity that they trimmed off their hair, but they still look FAB in shorties...

Have a nice week~

*Most of us will be sitting for our respected exams and do keep us in your prayers.

**Auntie Lai Ping's mum (hopefully its spelt correct) passed away. Do include her and her family in your prayers too.

Training for Service / Camp Fire Singspiration

Had our Training for service and Camp Fire Singspiration yesterday. Everything went on well. Some of the Puchong and Wangsa Maju Congregations Youths came and attended the training given by Uncle Kim Fatt. We were also glad to have Calvin, SS, Errol and Mi Chelle back with us this time!! It's so seldom that we all can gather together as everyone's busy with their studies in different places.

The BBQ dinner was prepared by all the adults ( And of coz, some help from our dear Miss Mi Chelle and Chye Leng...). Though the Puchong Youths didn't stay back for the singspiration, they had dinner with us before they left.

As we were busying making souvenirs, the others already grabbed all the delicious and sinful food, there were little left when we went food hunting... haha...

Our Souvenirs!!! HAd made by all of us...(George picked the verse)

!After treating our stomachs, all of us gathered around the church grass compound and sit in a circle around the pieces of wood for the fire. There were a few guest and new faces around. 1st There's Jason, CM's friend from Puchong and then there is Teng, a 188 cm guy who is only 15 and currently studying in Chan Wa. Besides, Mithiran too brought some beautiful friends ^^...

We all had a candle with us and passed the flame around as a small opening ceremony for the Singspiration. The camp fire was lit by our 'oldest youth' dear Uncle Ken.
Ta-da!!!

Played Tom & Jerry as a starter using hoola hoops. Chye Mei as the game master. It was so funny watching everyone being so anxious+nervous.
In the end, Tom and Jerry was captured by our dear Wei Sern and Edwin. lolz...

The party begins with the lead of songs by Naveen, next is Mithi, following with Da Ge, George, and Calvin, then its Uncle Chong Ming and Uncle Kenneth.

We also played an interesting game taught by Mr. Zhong Zhen. We had to be split into 3 groups. 1st group gotta shout Caeser!! Caeser!! with Mithi as the group leader, 2nd group:" Walawala! walawala!" lead by Naveen and 3rd Group :" Gu-bak! Gu-bak!" with Teng, the tall young guy as the leader. We had to shout at the fire to determine which group shouted the loudest. It was hilarious!!! (Uncle Ken in Group 2 looked so cute when he did the "walawala" with movements...^^)

Group 1 with "Caeser!! Caeser!!"
Group 2:“Walawala.. walawala..."

Group 3:"Gu-bak!! Gu-bak!!"

The results 0f everbody's efforts:

|
v

=.=
In the end, the winner was.... EVERYBODY!!! Hooray!!!

Did somemore singing....

The whole singspiration ended after the singing of Friends and a closing prayer. Everyone had some small snack while packing up. Some of us were playing frisbee and we found out that it was quite a dangerous game:
1st, It can actually hit someone inocent which leaves a bad ache on your back. 2nd, Frisbee don't have eyes to see where it is flying, and will land on somebody's property if you are not careful.

So guys, please becareful when you play frisbee the next time.^^

**Ending Pose**

Appreciations to Uncle Kok Bin and each and eveyone who contributed for the event. You guys totally Rock!!

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Lesson of the day

Anarchy:
1. No rulership or enforced authority.
2. Absence of government; a state of lawlessness due to the absence or inefficiency of the supreme power; political disorder.
3. A social state in which there is no governing person or group of persons, but each individual has absolute liberty

Which definition do you prefer??

Uncle Kenneth asked us if we want anarchy to happen in our school and there were a number of us who would be delighted to accept but there were also a small group who prefers having some rules and order.

Now, ask yourself, is freedom really so important to you that you must break every single rules and every possible law created? While, think again.

What kind of life it would be without a someone superior than you, ordering you what to do and that you can do whatsoever you want anywhere anytime. You are the BIG BOSS of yourself and can make any judgement by yourself without anyone to boss you around. Wouldn't it be great???
(remember, there isn't only you living on the earth...)

Ok, enough of the questions. Those of you who attended bible class will know what to think. But to all of you who didn't, here's a small bible verse for you to read (Its in your text book: Judges 17:1-13) Read through it and you'll see how foolish some people can be... (well, not literally la).

This is just a small introduction of the lesson today. Hope that it helps...

image017.jpg
See the poor little kid? He had to eat the food on the floor when he's hungry.
I believe that all of us know what THIS meant.
We always have blessings shower upon us, but what do the little boy gets?
Just a small reminder: Do make sure to give thanks to all the blessings you receive and too pray that other people get the same about of blessings you get....

************************************************************************************

We will be having a Training for Service seminar next Saturday morning and there will be a Singspiration Camp Fire at the very same night (about 6 p.m.). Do mark that day on your calenders and planners as you all have to show up no matter what!! ^^
To those of you are in outstations, we do really hope that each and everyone of you will come back and join the fun!! It will be nice to have a fellowship together...

There would be tons of FUN, GAMES, FOOD, BEVERAGES and SONGS waiting for you!!! (Not to mention, PEOPLE too!!!!)

Come back lar... Come back lar... Come back lar... Come back lar...

God Loves you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, vyou, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you and finally, not to forget,YOU!!!

Jesus In The House

Here's something to share:

One day a man decided to invite the Lord to come home and stay with him. When the Lord arrived, this young man offered him the very best room in the house. The room was upstairs and at the end of the hall. "This room is yours, Jesus! Stay as long as you like and you can do whatever you want to in this room, remember Jesus, its all yours."

That evening after he had retired for the night there came a loud knocking at the front door. The young man pulled on his robe and made his way downstairs. When he opened the door he found that the devil had sent three of his demons to attack him. He quickly tried to close the door but one of the demons kept sticking his foot in.

Sometime later, after a great struggle, he managed to slam the door shut and returned to his room totally exhausted.

Can you believe that, the man thought. Jesus is upstairs in my very best room sleeping while I am down here battling demons. Oh, well, maybe he just didn't hear. He slept fitfully that night. The next day things went along as normal and, being tired as he was, the young man retired early that evening. Along about midnight, there came such a terrible ruckus at the front door that the young man was sure that whatever it was would tear the door down. He stumbled down the stairs once again and opened the door to find that there were dozens of demons now trying to get into his beautiful home.

For more than three hours he fought and struggled against the demons from hell, and finally overtook them enough to shut the door against their attack. All energy seemed to fail him. He really didn't understand this at all. Why won't the Lord come to my rescue? Why does he allow me to fight all by myself? I feel so alone. Troubled, he found his way to the sofa and fell into a restless sleep.

The next morning he decided to inquire of the Lord about the happenings of the last two evenings. Quietly he made his way to the elegant bedroom where he had left Jesus. "Jesus," he called as he tapped at the door. "Lord, I don't understand what is happening. For the last two nights I have had to fight the demons away from my door while you laid up here sleeping. Don't you care about me? Did I not give you the very best room in the house?"

He could see the tears building in Jesus' eyes but continued on, "I just don't understand, I really thought that once I invited you in to live with me that you would take care of me and I gave you the best room in my house and everything. What more can I do?"

"My precious child," Jesus spoke so softly. "I do love and care for you. I protect all that you have released into my care. But, when you invited me to come here and stay, you brought me to this lovely room and you shut the door to the rest of your house. I am Lord of this room but I am not Master of this house.
I have protected this room and no demon may enter here."

"Oh, Lord, please forgive me. Take all of my house, it is yours. I am so sorry that I never offered you all to begin with. I want you to have control of everything." With this he flung open the bedroom door and knelt at Jesus' feet. "Please forgive me Lord for being so selfish."

Jesus smiled and told him that He had already forgiven him and that He would take care of things from now on. That night as the young man prepared for bed he thought, I wonder if those demons will return, I am so tired of fighting them each and every night. But, he knew that Jesus said that he would take care of things from now on.

Along about midnight the banging on the door was frightening. The young man slipped out of his room in time to see Jesus going down the stairs. He watched in awe as Jesus swung open the door, no need to be afraid.

Satan stood at the door, this time demanding to be let in. "What do you want, satan?" the Lord asked. The devil bowed low in the presence of the Lord, "So sorry, I seem to have gotten the wrong address." And with that, he and the demons all ran away.

There is a moral to this tale. Jesus wants all of you, not just a part. He will take all that you give Him, but nothing more. How much of your heart have you given to the Lord? Are you keeping a portion of it away from Him?

Perhaps the attacks are coming more and more each day. Why not let the Lord fight the battles for you? He is always victorious. God made man simple, all of man's complexities are of his own devising.

Sinful Virus!!! (Edited)

Hey guys, sorry for not updating any sooner. Days like these are getting worst. Ya, the H1N1 cases. There are already 2 hundred and 40 something confirmed cases just for today. Heard that one of the student from Pei Hua Primary kena the virus and unfortunately, passed away recently. What a pity. Hope that the other 3 students who also had the virus will survive. So guys, do keep all the H1N1 patients in your prayers and hope that the virus will be in controlled in no time.

Oh ya, do remember to take some safety precautions so that you guys won't be infected by the virus and spread it to others... Our duty is to spread the good news and not the virus!!! Do wear a mask whenever you are out and wash you hands as frequently as you can. Avoid going places with large crowds (that means no movies for this whole period for all of you..^^) and stop sneezing and coughing by covering your mouth with your hands. (It may be contagious for all you know!!).

We're not very sure how's the virus is spreading in other parts of the world, but in Malaysia, its uncontrollable. Do make sure you all take care of yourselves and restrain yourself from falling SICK!!!

btw, to those who will be having your exams these few months, sit back and enjoy your study time at home. Do not even consider walking out of the house. The contagious virus might be waiting for you outside your main door. So stock enough junk food for months of supply and bury your heads under the crappy BOOKS!!! lolz...

That's all for now. Do remember to say your prayers before entering the mind-challenging WAR!!!
All the best!!!

** Beverlyn, nice to see you here. We miss you SOO MUCHIE!!!

Holy Spirit

Here's something to share again from the weekly e-devotion NLT drink dreeply . Its about our Holy Spirit:

The 411 on the Holy Spirit

You may know someone who seems to have three personalities (the real one, the phony one, and the really phony one). But have you ever seen three people who represented one person? Historically, Christians have believed that God exists in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. How this works, no one knows. This is one of the mysteries that the Bible mentions.

If we were to take a poll, we might find that the Holy Spirit is probably the least understood of the three. So just who is the Holy Spirit? What does he do?

First of all, the New Testament always refers to the Holy Spirit as 'he,' not 'it.' The Spirit is personal, not merely a 'force' or instrument. He has an intellect, feelings, will, and other personal characteristics.

Second, the Holy Spirit is not in any way inferior to the Father or the Son. He is equal to them. One of the clearest statements of this reality is found in Matthew 28:19, where Jesus tells the disciples: 'Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.'

Third, the Spirit acts in many powerful ways. Here are just a few: he unifies believers and helps them grow and serve others (1 Cor 12:4-11; Eph 4:1-16; 5:22-25); he gives new life (John 3:5-8); he helps us own up to what we’ve done and to change (John 16:8); he reminds us of the truth of Jesus as the Savior (John 14:26 and 16:13-14); he prays for us (Rom 8:26); he is present in all Christians (Rom 8:9-11; 1 Cor 6:19-20). His arrival in Acts 2 completely changed the lives of all of the believers.

Jesus described the Holy Spirit as the 'Counselor' (John 15:26). Unlike a high school guidance counselor, the Holy Spirit is with you 24/7. He is your unseen adviser--one who will never steer you wrong.

Story of a Great Hooker

Another heart felt e-mail to share:
Do seriously look through the whole passage and think deeply about it...

Xia lived in a small village of province of Gan Shu . All ladies in this small village, no matter she is pretty or not, went to Southern part of city to earn money. Every spring time, they will come back with money and beautiful cloths. Xia didn't follow after she finished her secondary school. A lot of people don't understand what is she thinking of as she has the pretty face and body. And because of this, her father always scold her.

When she heard of the only primary school in the village needs some teachers, she voluntarily ask to become a free teacher. She is a very good student in her secondary school and because of this, she easily pass through all the test and became the teacher of the school.

The 1st time when Xia walk into the classroom, all children shock to see a pretty teacher. From then on, the classroom always fill with children's laughter. Classroom -- should call it a hut instead as the wall is made of sticks and cover with leaves as its ceiling. A big stone become their table and the most expensive should be the polished dark-green stone as their blackboard. With this condition, Xia taught thousands of Chinese words and knowledge to her students.

There was wild rain destroy the classroom of the school and all students become schoolless.. The headmaster visit the province's education minister for some money to repair the classroom and come back with nothing. Headmaster told Xia that the minister said only will give money if Xia ask for it. Xia never meet any minister before and afraid that she will make the things worst and decided to visit the minister. She walked more than 10km to the province ministry office and sit in a beautiful office in front of the minister. Minister's eyes looks hungry and point to a room and said to Xia. Your money is in the room, if you want, follow me. Xia saw a big bed in the room and is the bed that she lost her virgin. Minister raped her..

Her virgin blood drop on the bed sheet and is more reddish than the color of the national flag in the room.

Xia didn't cry, all she is thinking of is the eyes of all disappointed students that have no classroom.

She didn't tell anyone about the rape after she went home.

The next day, with the money that brought back by Xia, all villagers bought some woods and repair the classroom. But whenever there was a heavy rain, the classroom still cannot be used. Xia always tell the students that province ministry department will built a good school for them. In the past half year, headmaster had visited the ministers more than 100 times and never ever get any money from them. He is the only 1 knows what did Xia did and he can do nothing about it. New semester comes, a lot of students cannot pay their fees and become schoolless and follow their parents to work. Xia sad about that.

When Xia feel that her hope of all students can go to school become hopeless, she drop all her cloths and swear to her naked body that she will use this body to exchange for the children to be able to go to school. She knows that all ladies in the village are working as a prostitute to earn the living and she knows this is a shortcut for her to earn money. She washed herself and say goodbye to headmaster, father, and school. She tight her hair as 2 ponytails and walk to the city. When she leave, her father smile and headmaster cry....

In the colorful city, Xia is not happy at all, in her mind, there are only broken classroom and sadness and disappointed eyes of students. She walked into a Hair-Saloon, lay down on a dirty bed, and accept her 2nd dirty business. In that night, in her diary, she wrote : 'Minister can't even compare to her 1st customer. At least they pay.'

She sends all her earnings except those for her to live on to headmaster. Headmaster follows her instruction to use the money on the school. People ask about the source of the money and headmaster only answer that it was from some donation of society.

After a while, people knows about the source of money is from the teacher and many reporters would like to interview her and she just refused and the reason is that she is just a prostitute.

With the money, the school changed. First month, there is a new blackboard.. 2nd month, a wooden table and chair. 3rd month, all children has their own books. 4th month, all children has a red tie. 5th month, no children go to school bare leg.

On the 6th month, Xia come back. All students welcome her happily and say 'Teacher is so beautiful'... With all student's smiling face, Xia cries.. how many tear drops and how many sadness in the past 6 months... she feels worthy when she see all these.

After few days at home, she goes back to city.

7th month, built a ball park, 8th month, basketball, 9th month, all students has their new pencils. 10th month, the school has their own national flag, students raise the national flags daily. 11th month, a land-developer refuse to use condom and Xia pregnant. After abortion, she become the developer's mistress. After a few months, the developers dump her because he faced problem on land-value drop in ShengXhen, he didn't pay her 1 cent.

Xia feel tired, she think of go home and go back to the school, but she has yet to fulfill student's dream which are building a concrete classroom and 2 PCs for the students. Because of these, she went back to beg the developer and the developer just refuse to pay anything but only introduce a foreigner to her. Said the foreigner will pay her 3000rmb for 1 night.. Think of the wild rain happen few days ago, she tiredly goes to the foreigner's hotel. She sweared that she will go back to her home and school after this.

She killed by the 3 foreigner because of raping. She just turned 21yo..

Xia died without fulfill her final wish which to build a concrete classroom and 2 PCs.

............. A hooker dies, silently, the sky of ShengZhen is still as blue as before, ministers still happily sitting in their office, many expensive cars still running on street, people happily discussing share market, house market value, car value, and movies, music and love story. Youngster try to suicide because of small matters happen between themselves.

At this time, students, teachers and few hundreds of villagers attending the funeral in this small village 'GanShu'

In the funeral, people see a black and white photo of Xia. In the photo, she has 2 pony tails and happily smile. Headmaster open the diary of Xia and read in front of all students, she wrote : ' Each prostitution, can help an uneducated child; become a mistress once, can rescue a hopeless primary school...'

The national flag drop to its half... May be, this is the ONLY national flag drop half because of a GREAT hooker in China 's history.

From now on, don't discriminate any hooker, because among them there is a Xia. Hope you will spread this to others to let all our governments to understand when they are saying and empty-promising, when they are drinking in the pub, when they are doing dirty politics, Someone using her own power to change the world. Xia is using her sad eyes to look at all of us. Although she is just a hooker, she is more clean and saint than any of us. In this cold and dirty society, what she gave to the students are human's 'Great Love'

Xia leaves the world with wishes, can't we continue her jobs of bringing more hope to the poors? If we can, why dun we share our love, our capable to these children in the third world or support those who try to be Xia in our country? Share our love to PRC, support them more.. we can be saint ourselves.

It really changed my mind about hookers... No one wants to so anything close enough like this as a career just to stay alive... And there were really some of them who does not have any choices.. Do think deeply about her and you'll sure find more love in her than anyone else you know... Just like what God's indication of Love in 1 Corintians 13 :

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

He's Our Lord...

Here's something to share.
Someone send me an e-mail and was stunned when I saw this..

"Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done...?
And the devil keeps throwing it up in your face
(lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness,etc..)...
whatever it is....

You need to know that:
God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing.

[]

He has seen your whole life... He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He ' s just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.

The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness;
He not only forgives you, but He forgets."

Its so touching...

Vinashini Home

Our mission has accomplished!! 6 of our youths (Nav, Mit, Mei, Jia Ying, George, Ben, Melvin & Tim) have been accompanied by 2 of our 'veteran' youths (Kenneth & Mosha) to the Vinashini Home 3pm last Sunday..

There are quite a number of residents ranging from toddlers to elderly folks.. We bought some stationaries for the schooling kids there.. Then, our activities began~~~

We started with the song 'Father Abraham'.. Most of them had fun as we sung this action song.. we moved on to our next agenda- story time by Ben. Nav & Mit became our Tamil interpreter there as most of the kids are Indians & they don't really understand English that well.. 'once upon a time, an angel.....bla, bla, bla'*in tamil* (in fact, we don't really understand as most of the story was told in tamil language=D)

We continued with some games- a.e.i.o.u, pepsi-cola & Simon says..... These games remind us of our younger days.. Some of us even lost to the kids there =P.. We then continued to sing some songs of our yester years.. HahaXD.. Really missed our childhood moments..

At last, the children there even conducted a game for us.. A ball will be put behind of us and we're suppose to run & grab a place.. We had great fun until it was time for them to have their dinner.. We bid farewell to them & the caretakers came to thanked us..

It's better to give them to receive.. Not only the children have enjoyed themselves, we had also gained an experience.... As it is written:" He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor: his righteousness endures forever" (2 Cor 9:9), "for God Loves a cheerful giver"(2 Cor 9:7).
