1 Christ, 1 Unity

Just as all of you had been there, we had our 1 Christ, 1 Unity Lock-in on the last 18-20th Dec.
Gotta apologize for posting it SOOO late. You know, there's always the time matter..
er... Dunno where to start. So... just let the pictures tell us the story.

We were really glad to have Jun Ai, Jun Ning, Victor, Siow Foon and Jason in the house! haha...

Oh, we did spot some items on the 2nd say of the lock-in, check them out.
BEWARE of getting severe heart attack when you see them.

Beng and George. They had it so secretively that we only noticed it through their clothes.. XD

Ariel and Aaron... Whoa.... Aaron, no wonder you say you are in a relationship ah.. hehe...

Vern and Shyuan..lolz.. They both ran to church to escape the marathon.. XD

During the 3days of being 'locked-in' the church building, we did many things together.

We sang,


We danced

Had devotion... together


And lunch



We even played together...


and love each other so much that we even intended to BBQ each other...

lucky we didn't....
We BBQ the chicken caught by Ai Ting instead.

We also
Acted together...


We laughed.... obviously together...


And more laughs again...





There were SO much FUN!!!


We all had so much fun in the lock-in that the toilet bowl went rofl. LOLZ...
I meant it literally....



This Lock-in changed many things...
A Chair and an umbrella is not just a chair and an umbrella...


**Take note that the umbrella actually 'pushed' Jason to the floor...

Tim is no longer little Timmy but instead...
He's Professor Tim!

He's ought to have more fashion sense... (Look at his pants... lolz)

He was trying to make some type of potion to produce Powerpuff girls
And guess what....
Beng's hair and Victor's socks plays a big role in producing the superheroins...



Victor's actually a pro magician....


Edwin was a watch collector using the offering bag...


Michelle, Siow Foon and Sandra became princesses

who fought to kiss the Frisbee


Our originally Malaysian borned Beng was actually the legendary Korean footballer...
PARK-BENG-SUNG!!!


And Aaron... Became a ball...
The Stu-s actually won the World cup!!!! Congrats!!!


Oh ya, Beng's friends came along and joined us. But that they too had fun watching us...

Youths AGM 2010

So sorry that this would be the 1st blog post of the year... haha..
Youth AGM 2010 had successfully ended today.
I think not many expected such results to occur.
Freshmen took some of the posts and hopefully they can cope well...
Lets have a quick peek at the new committee members of COC Youths....

Chairman: Benjamin Lim (Way a go!!!!)
Vice Chairman: Calvin Lee (You still can't run away from this either)
Secretary: Mithiran (Lolz... hope that you'll be the 'sexiest secretary of all time)
Treasurer: Lee Wei Sern (Who says that 'boi kia' can't count! He's taking accounts man, dun play play...)
Auditor: Lee Jia Ying (Our one and only flower in the whole committee board, Go Gal!)

God bless all of them with wisdom and knowledge and take the youths to the next level! hahas....

Sorry for not updating any sooner...
Our Lock-in is confirmed to be held.

Seremban COC One Christ, One Unity Lock-In
Theme: One Christ, One Unity (In conjunction with our 1 Malaysia slogan)
Date:18th-20th December 2009 (Fri-Sun)
Time: Check in 2.30 p.m.
Venue: Seremban Church of Christ building
Fees: RM 20

* Be sure to have lunch 1st before checking in as lunch on Fri is not provided

This is open for suggestions:
1. The names of groups. (4 groups to be exact)
2. Activities for girls during free time
3. Design for name tags

P.s. If you have any other suggestions regarding the programs or if you wanna volunteer in taking any parts in the preparation of the Lock-in, do speak out as we need as much help we can get. Suggestions can be posted on to our Cbox or you can have a direct contact with the core committees...

Penang Trip

Us youths will be going up to Penang on 11th Dec (this Fri) and will be coming back on the 14th. A mission trip up to Penang to conduct the service there. Almost all the youths will be going (Well, exept a few) and Ong Beng is included.. Beng will be flying back this Wed!!! haha.. Glad to have him back with us. May God be with those who will be travelling and that they will come back safely. Have fun guys!

What a dusty blog.. Do come back often..

SPM Exam

Today is the 1st day of SPM...
We'll be praying for Mi Shyuan especially xD...
And also others out there who we do not know...
Chill.. SPM only... Waakakaka...

Lesson of the Day.

A quick peak of yesterday's lesson...
Uncle Chong Ming was the teacher of the day.
Yep, coz most of us were in Wangsa, there were only a few of us left.
But the class must go on...
We had a lesson about Daniel. (Chapter 1)
It's amazing how Daniel as a Jew lived with the Babylonians for so long,
though he was a captive since he was young, he did not and had never forgot about God.
He was there for 60 years [it's said that he remained there until the 1st year of King Cyrus]
Though King Nebuchadnezzar had offered them the food and wine that he serves on his table.(which is definitely be of the best)
Daniel and his 3 friends: Hananiah, Mishael (pronounced as Michelle.. ^^), Azariah restrained themselves from the food that they can't take...as a Jew..
Daniel was really strong in faith asked the guards to give them only vegetables +water for 10 days.
Imagine yourself having to survive with only vege and water, can you do it???
Anywayz, they did so and turned out to be more nourished than those who consumed the royal food.
They were very smart and understood who was taught. Daniel can even interpret dreams.
When presented to the king, they were found to be 10 times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his Kingdom...
Sweet right??? It's the blessings of God.

Lesson of the day:
Be tactful when you wanna ask for a favour from someone you don't quite know or someone who which you have no rights of asking from. Just like what happened to Daniel and the guard, all it takes is some patience and manners. Be polite with what will be said and you'll get what you want in return.

Lock-in '09

Tim, this is specially for you.... ^^
And same to those who has no idea what's going on...

For your info, we'll be having our Lock-in end of this year.
This is just a brief summary of what we had discussed so far:

~ It might be held on the 18th -20th Dec
~We might be having a church camp instead of a lock-in and we will be having more participants compared to last year.
~ If our church building cannot fit so many people, we can build tents. (Lolz)
~ Might be having a guess speaker, thinking of getting an older youth.
~ Will be inviting youths from other congregations to join us
~ Our theme is not yet to be confirmed
~ Calvin will be coming back on 19th Nov to discuss furthermore

We need as much help we can get, please do volunteer yourselves in the aiding the event to be a success! All suggestions are welcome! (If you've got any, please do post it on our cbox. Thx)

Hai!

Sorry for not updating any sooner... Life's kinda hectic.
Here's a little something to share.... Enjoy~

Jim Kneels to Pray

A minister passing through his church in the middle of the day, Decided to pause by the altar and see who had come to pray. Just then the back door opened, a man came down the aisle, The minister frowned as he saw the man hadn't shaved in a while.

His shirt was kinda shabby
and his coat was worn and frayed,
the man knelt, he bowed his head,
Then rose and walked away.

In the days that followed,
each noon time came this chap,
each time he knelt just for a moment,
A lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister's suspicions grew,
with robbery a main fear,
He decided to stop the man and ask him, 'What are you doing here?'

The old man said, he worked down the road..
Lunch was half an hour..
Lunchtime was his prayer time,
For finding strength and power.

'I stay only moments, see,
because the factory is so far away;
as I kneel here talking to the Lord,
This is kinda what I say:

'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY.'

The minister feeling foolish,
told Jim, that was fine..
He told the man he was welcome
To come and pray just anytime

Time to go, Jim smiled, said 'Thanks.'
He hurried to the door.
The minister knelt at the altar,
he'd never done it before.

His cold heart melted, warmed with love, and met with Jesus there.
As the tears flowed, in his heart,
he repeated old Jim's prayer:

'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHERS FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY..
SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY.'

Past noon one day, the minister noticed that old Jim hadn't come.
As more days passed without Jim,
he began to worry some..

At the factory, he asked about him,
learning he was ill.
The hospital staff was worried,
But he'd given them a thrill..

The week that Jim was with them,
Brought changes in the ward.
His smiles, a joy contagious.
Changed people, were his reward.

The head nurse couldn't understand
why Jim was so glad, when no flowers, calls or cards came,
Not a visitor he had.

The minister stayed by his bed,
He voiced the nurse's concern:
No friends came to show they cared.
He had nowhere to turn.

Looking surprised, old Jim spoke
up and with a winsome smile;
'the nurse is wrong, she couldn't know, that He's in here all the while
everyday at noon He's here,
a dear friend of mine, you see,
He sits right down, takes my hand,
Leans over and says to me:
'I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM, HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN.
ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY, I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY, AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS CHECKING IN TODAY.'

If this blesses you, pass it on. Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart

May God hold you in the palm of His hand and Angels watch over you.
